The short version
Neek Design LLC collects two kinds of information on this site: what you choose to send us through the project form, and measurement data about how visitors find and use the site. We use it to answer your inquiry and to see which pages and ads work. We don't sell your information.
The project form
When you submit the form at /start, we receive your name, organization, email, phone (if given), current website (if given), your answers about the project, and the ad or link that brought you to the site, if any. It is delivered to us as an email through our email provider, Resend, and kept in our inbox. We use it only to respond to you and to plan your project. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic: pages viewed, how long people stay, how they arrived, and which actions they take (for example, clicking a contact link or submitting the form). Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to recognize returning visits. It records approximate location (country, region and city level), device, browser and operating system. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We keep this data for 14 months. Google's handling is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Meta Pixel and Conversions API
We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To measure whether those ads work, we use the Meta Pixel, which sets a first-party cookie and reports page views. When you submit the project form or click our email or phone link, we also report that event to Meta from our server through Meta's Conversions API. Those server reports include your IP address and browser type, and — for form submissions — your email, phone and name, which are converted to an irreversible SHA-256 hash before they leave our server. Meta uses this to match the event to its own accounts and attribute it to an ad. See the Meta Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and measures page speed. It sets no cookies and does not track individual visitors across sites or visits.
Ad link parameters
Links in our ads carry labels such as utm_source, utm_campaign or a platform click ID (fbclid, gclid, ttclid). When you arrive through one, we store those labels in a first-party cookie for 90 days so that, if you later send us a project brief, we know which ad introduced you. They are attached to your brief and nowhere else.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you'll be asked first. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs without cookies and the Meta Pixel and Conversions API are not used at all. You can change your answer at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
How to opt out
Wherever you are, you can:
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We honour it: no Meta tracking and no analytics cookies for your visits.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Install the [Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
- Adjust how Meta uses activity from other sites in your [Meta ad preferences](https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences).
Contacting us directly
If you email us at timothy@neekdesign.org or call (907) 660-7471, we use your contact information only to respond. Clicking either link is reported as a contact action in the measurement described above, but the content of your email or call is not.
Links to external sites
This site links to our clients' websites and other external resources. Once you leave neekdesign.org, this policy no longer applies. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
