The story
The challenge
SAA needed more than a marketing site. As a 501(c)(4) operating Mt. Eyak Ski Area, they had legitimate compliance needs around board minutes, financial reports, and bylaws — but no infrastructure beyond shared email attachments. They needed both a beautiful public face and an enterprise-grade private platform.
What we built
Built two integrated experiences: a photography-driven public site with mission/vision storytelling and a member CTA, plus a private board portal with email + 6-digit OTP login, categorized document management (Meeting Minutes, Financial Reports, Policies & Bylaws, Historical Records, MESA Operations), audit logging, and admin analytics dashboards.
What happened
Public site launched April 13, 2026 to strong community reception — pre-launch the legacy site was averaging only 82 unique visitors per 30 days; the new site hit 1,020+ unique visitors in its first ~12 days post-launch (~12× growth, still climbing). The board portal is now the operational backbone for SAA governance, with a working audit log, document version trail, and 92 logged audit events in a single 30-day window.
Traffic since launch
Enterprise-grade board portal
The standout build: a custom audit log + analytics dashboard tracking login success/failure, document views, uploads, deletions, and user activity over time — visualized with daily activity bar charts and login-success line charts. Built for a nonprofit on a nonprofit budget.
