The story

The challenge

The Alaska Scholarship Foundation is a brand-new Scholarship Granting Organization built around a brand-new federal tax credit program (active 2027). They needed a website that could explain a complex tax mechanism in plain language, build credibility with donors, and build a network of regional leaders — community organizers who own outreach in their areas, the same model that makes statewide coalitions like T3 Alliance actually function on the ground.

What we built

A clean, photography-saturated marketing site with a trust-first tone. Sections walk donors through the tax credit step-by-step, explain how scholarships work for families, and highlight the foundation's statewide reach. Built for clarity over decoration.

What happened

Live since January 2026 — months ahead of the 2027 tax credit program launch. The launch was presented at a statewide conference and unique visitors spiked to ~4,500 that month from a pre-launch baseline of zero. The site has since settled into a healthy 1,500–2,000 monthly average (currently 2,132 and climbing), giving the foundation 4 months of compounding SEO and donor pipeline ahead of the first-dollar tax credit season.

Tax credit explainer with a statewide trust tone

The "Your Taxes, Your Choice, Our Students" section takes a complex IRS mechanism and makes it click for a regular donor — explaining the dollar-for-dollar credit, how deductibility works above the threshold, and the fact that every dollar stays in Alaska. Clear enough that someone reads it once and actually understands what they're signing up for.
